Audio Services

Richard Robbins,
Audio Services Coordinator
Our Audio Materials are currently available in taped format, using special tape players which are available free of charge to eligible individuals.
All assignments are treated with the utmost care and attention to detail. We follow Library of Congress standards to ensure superior quality.
New Technology:
ABLE is implementing new technology in response to the National Library Service digital application for books, magazines. A flash memory format, roughly the size of a credit card, will be the medium for The Library Digital Talking Book (DTB) Program in the future. Materials ABLE currently holds in taped format will be converted to flash format, with a 2008 digital books and equipment distribution date.
NFB-Newsline®:
The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Newsline® ABLE Channel is a new service which allows users to access information such as local news, blindness resources, activities, and restaurant info using their own phone.
