Back Translation Proofreader
At Home or On-Site

Description:
Proofread the original print material with a Braille copy that has been translated back into English. The purpose is to spot any differences (spelling, punctuation, etc.) between the two.
Requirements:
- Adult (18 + Years).
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A resident of Milwaukee or Southeast Wisconsin.
- Available Weekdays.
- Must own a PC and be computer literate.
- Attention to detail and a "perfectionist" attitude.
- Strong proofreading skills.
- Some knowledge of braille or a willingness to participate in, and complete, a 12 month braille training course.
- An ability to read standard print in English
- An ability to recognize errors in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, word division, spacing, omissions, content and consistency of format.
- Long-term commitment (at least 12 months).
Time Commitment:
This is an ongoing and long-term commitment. We ask a minimum of 4 to 5 hours per week.
Training:
Training will be provided, free of charge.
Location:
At Home, or at our office in the Central Library Building in downtown Milwaukee.
