Braille Services

Kathleen Bruening,
Braille Services Coordinator
Our Braille and other tactile materials include:
- Printed Braille: Braille printed on paper, either by machine or by hand (depending on the project).
- Embossing: Braille printed on a transparent plastic sticker sheet, which can be pasted below a translated text, or onto all sorts of objects. We also use this to create dual vision books.
- Tactile Pictures or Diagrams: We produce two forms of tactiles. One is a plastic sheets, or "Thermoform", which has raised surface pictures outlining a visual image. Another is a paper-based tactile produced on our Tiger embosser.
All assignments are treated with the utmost care and attention to detail. We follow Library of Congress standards to ensure superior quality.
