Our dedicated team of volunteers make this happen. Reading is key to learning, growth, productivity, self-sufficiency and full participation in one’s community. We have done braille, audio and digital transcriptions of: • Fiction and Nonfiction • Monthly magazines • Personal documents • Children’s books • Business articles • Government documents • Playbills & programs • Restaurant menus • Product manuals • Textbooks • Training manuals • Medical information • And more! We follow Library of Congress standards, assuring that you will receive high-quality, accurate transcriptions. We participate in the National Transcription Registry, making our recorded and brailled books available here and across the globe. We assist the Wisconsin Talking Book and Braille Library by transcribing Wisconsin authors, Wisconsin magazines and more. New technology offers a wider range of accessible materials with the addition of enhanced quality, portability and content navigation. The National Federation of the Blind Newsline® ABLE Channel allows users to access information such as local news, activities, blindness resources and restaurant info using their own phone. Become a volunteer and: • Work at home brailling or creating audio recordings. • Work with us in the ABLE office as an audio or braille duplicator, office assistant or proofreader. Don’t know how?
