Braille Boy

Dear Teacher Teams:

Good news! We have 40 print braille books available with the title “Braille Boy”. Children received this book at Braille Games last Thursday at the Milwaukee Public Museum.

If your student was not at Braille Games, you can request this book – see form below. Given the limited number of books available, this book is offered only to braille readers. 1 book per student, maximum order of 4 per teacher.

Thanks to the Milwaukee Bucks’ generosity, 75 children across Wisconsin will receive “Braille Boy”, a print braille book written by a nine-year-old blind author ZuZu Sampson. Inspired by his love for superhero stories, ZuZu decided to publish “Braille Boy” when he couldn’t find superhero books in braille format. The book encourages empathy, courage, and positivity.

Not only is this book available in braille, it is available in audio through the Wisconsin Talking Book and Braille Library.
